26th January is a very important day in the history of India. On this day, in 1947, India became independent. After the hard struggle of almost 200 years, Indians got freedom from British rule. On this day, our very first Prime Minister Pandit Jaaharlal Nehru unfurled our national flag at Red Fort in Delhi for the very first time. This clearly shows how important is this day for Indians.
